Thunder 9U Walk It Off Against Quinte Royals

It came down to the wire on Friday, as Thunder 9U grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 16-14, over Quinte Royals 9U. The game was tied at 14 in the bottom of the seventh when Lawson W singled, scoring two runs.
Russell E drove in five runners in the win. The 3-hole hitter went 3-4 on the day.
Quinte Royals 9U got on the board in the top of the first inning after Graham G doubled, and Brayden G hit into a fielder's choice, each scoring one run.
Thunder 9U captured the lead, 3-2, in the bottom of the first when Russell tripled, scoring two runs, and Porter B singled, scoring one run.
Quinte Royals 9U flipped the game on its head in the top of the third, scoring five runs on seven hits to take the lead, 7-3. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Sullivan W that drove in two.
Thunder 9U flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fourth, scoring five runs on nine hits to take the lead, 10-9. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Porter that drove in two.
Blake B singled, which helped Quinte Royals 9U tie the game at 10 in the top of the fifth.
A solo home run by Easton C gave Quinte Royals 9U the lead, 11-10, in the top of the sixth.
In the bottom of the sixth inning, Thunder 9U went back into the lead after Russell grounded into a fielder's choice, Porter singled to center field, and Hugh H grounded into a fielder's choice, each scoring one run.
Quinte Royals 9U captured the lead, 14-13, in the top of the seventh after Nolan W singled, Kayden C hit into a fielder's choice, and Brady L singled, each scoring one run.
Thunder 9U jumped into the lead in the bottom of the seventh when Conor D doubled, scoring one run, and Lawson singled, scoring two runs.
Blake stepped on the hill first for Quinte Royals 9U. The hurler surrendered 31 hits and 16 runs over six and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking none.
Thunder 9U collected 31 hits in the game. Lawson led Thunder 9U with five hits in five at bats. MacAuley W, Wesley D, Oliver C, Conor, Sonny P, Quentin B, and Porter each collected multiple hits for Thunder 9U. Thunder 9U turned two double plays in the game.
Quinte Royals 9U accumulated 26 hits in the game. Easton led Quinte Royals 9U with three runs batted in. The leadoff hitter went 3-for-5 on the day. Graham went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Quinte Royals 9U in hits. Brady, Nolan, Sullivan, Trent M, Cameron M, and Blake each collected multiple hits for Quinte Royals 9U. Quinte Royals 9U didn't commit a single error in the field. Graham had the most chances in the field with nine.
