5‑Team Tournament Format (Double Elimination)

The team that finished higher in the regular season standings will be home team.
1st - Merlins 2nd - Eagles 3rd - Ravens 4th - Hawks 5th - Falcons

Round 1

Teams were paired based on regular season standings.
Merlins (1st in regular season)
receives a bye.

Round 2

  • L1 vs L2

  • W1 receives a bye

  • Merlins  vs W2

Round 3

  • L3 has been eliminated.

  • W3 vs L4

  • W1 vs W4

Round 4

  • Loser of Game 5 has been eliminated.

  • Three teams remain.

    • Bye determination follows Baseball Ontario Playing Rules.
      See bye procedures below.

    • The other two teams play Game 7.

Round 5

  • Two or three teams remain.

    • If two teams, use Bracket A.

    • If three teams, use Bracket B.

    • All teams will have one loss.

    • Bye determination follows Baseball Ontario Playing Rules.
      See bye procedures below.

    • The other two teams play.

Round 6

  • Bracket A: If the undefeated team loses Game 8A, play Game 9A. Otherwise, W8A are champions.

  • Bracket B: W8B plays the Round 5 bye team in the final.

Bye Procedures

Byes are awarded as follows:

  1. No consecutive byes:
    No team shall receive a back‑to‑back bye in successive rounds.

  2. Equal distribution:
    No team shall receive a second bye until all remaining teams have received their first bye.

  3. Undefeated priority:
    If more than one team is eligible for a bye, the undefeated team automatically receives it.

  4. Tie‑breaking rules:
    If multiple teams remain eligible, the bye team will be determined using
    the tie‑breaking rules in RP7.3(a). - Baseball Ontario Playing Rules.

House League Playoff Procedures for HS Division

Home Team Selection
The team that finished higher in the regular season standings will be home team.
1 - Merlins 2 - Eagles 3 - Ravens 4 - Hawks 5 - Falcons

Game Length & Rules
All games in round 1 through 4 will be 2 hours in duration and follow House League rules.
However, games must continue until there is a winner — ties are not permitted.
The Championship Rounds 5 & 6 has no time limit
and will be seven innings.

Call‑Up Players
Teams requiring call‑ups may use players from teams
not playing on the same date
. Call‑up players:

  • Cannot pitch or catch

  • Must bat last in the lineup

  • Cannot be Rep players unless already registered on a House League roster

Rain or field closures will result in games being postponed.
