Information
for Players
Choosing A Glove:
The key is selecting a glove you can handle. The individual player should
have the freedom to choose. There are certain ideas about what size
glove fits a certain type of player, but coaches should keep an open
mind. If a players glove appears to be too big, watch him and see how
he uses it. If he uses it well and it doesn't become restrictive to
the movement of his hand, leave it alone.
Middle infielders generally use smaller gloves and outfielders
an inch or two bigger. Catchers and first base gloves are available
specifically for those positions.
